Bay Area and California Engagement Photographer

The question I get asked a lot is what should I wear for an engagement session? I want all my clients to feel as comfortable as possible. However, I will say not to wear clashing colors or prints. If you wear flower printed dresses make sure your fiancée wears a solid color. You can wear jeans or be as dressy as you like. Just be mindful of the location we are going to be photographing at. If you want to be photographed in a park you may not want to wear high heels or if photographed in hotel you may not want to wear tennis shoes. These sessions usually last up to two hours so I do encourage to have at least 2 dress changes.

Another questions I get asked a lot where should we take our photos. This is an introspective question. Some couples have a specific location in mind that means something to them and they want to be photographed at that location but some couples don’t know so I can help and give ideas. I like to ask what type of people are you more city people or country or forestry or even beach type people. Once I get to know that I get an idea of what locations work best for the couple.

I have shot on many beaches, forests, parks, meadows, and even city scapes. Living in Brentwood CA bay area I live close proximity to many beautiful locations. I am not far from Sacramento and the South Bay for fun locations in those areas as well. Together we can come up with an amazing shoot.
